Setpoint Adjuster, SP Guidance

Postby Frieder Jahn on Mon Oct 06, 2008 4:05 pm

At SimApp, I miss a block functioning as a manual setpoint adjuster, i. e. a kind of knob or pushbutton on my display to increase / decrease the input parameter. Also a setpoint guidance (influencing the limits of transients) would be fine.

Please apologize if something like that would already exist and I´ve been too blind to detect it. In this case, please, let me know.

Regards

Thank you for your suggestion. Are you thinking of a way to adjust constants in the model (like gain), or a way to change input source values (like step input amplitude)? How many inputs would you like to change on one screen?

It would also be nice to know how you would use it.

Thanks,

It is rather about setting input parameters.
I dream of a little power station simulator for applying it at schools or as a computer game. For the closed loop controls I needed on my display interactive adjusting elements for the setpoints of the various parameters (load, temperatures, pressures, levels etc). A little sketch is attached.
